New Guns N' Roses Album Drama
At the release party of the new video game, "Call Of Duty: Black Ops," in Santa Monica on November 4, Asha commented on the band's plans, saying, "We're talking about that right now. We've been throwing around a bunch of ideas and it should be good, man. We've got a lot of good stuff on the plate coming out. It won't take as long, I promise."
On Wednesday, guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal tried to calm the rising tide of fan interest when answering questions on his Facebook page. "We've yet to get in a room and write as a band," notes Bumblefoot. "[I] know D.J. mentioned something about a new album, but don't want y'all expecting anything soon." -

Guns N' Roses Infuriate Aussies With Late, Loud Gig
Before kicking off their gig in Reid Park, Townsville the tardy rockers left fans waiting for more than an hour, prompting complaints from locals who were frustrated by the loud music and late finish.
Mayor Les Tyrell says, "Guns N' Roses came on late and the concert ran late which is a concern to us and something we will talk to promoters about, as it is not fair for residents on a midweek event.
"The remainder of the feedback has been positive, with most people generally happy with traffic management, amenities and the state of the venue."

Guns N' Roses Stage Surprise Show
GUNS N' ROSES have put their recent concert woes behind them - they took to the stage in Paris, France for a surprise show on Tuesday (14Sep10).
The rockers were forced offstage at Britain's Reading Festival last month (Aug10) after overrunning their allotted time, and they angered fans at a show in Dublin, Ireland earlier this month (Sep10) by keeping them waiting for an hour and then playing for just 20 minutes before storming off after concertgoers pelted them with water bottles.
Many members of the audience immediately left the venue, convinced the gig was over before Rose and his bandmates returned to complete the concert an hour later - but organisers have refused to offer refunds to disgruntled fans.
But the band proved they're still determined to please their followers - they announced a surprise concert at the L'Arc restaurant/bar in the French capital on Tuesday.
In a post on their website hours before the show, they announced, "Well the best band in the world will play an acoustic set tonight at L'arc Restaurant bar, inbeautiful Paris. Hope some of you will be able to get there."
The band performed a full set of their most beloved hits, including Welcome To The Jungle, Sweet Child O' Mine and Paradise City.

Don't worry. Guns 'N' Roses is still touring
Don't worry. Guns 'N' Roses is still touring.
Last night, a message was posted on Axl Rose's Twitter account that said, "All upcoming Guns N' Roses dates are officially cancelled. Please contact your place of purchase for any refunds."
But it turns out his account was hacked, officials reported.
It always seemed likely to be a hoax: Rose is not active on Twitter and this is the first post in three months. Rose's other messages were posted via iPhone and this latest tweet was via mobile web. It was also curious that it had the British spelling of "cancelled."
G’n’R are scheduled to hit the Reading main stage on Friday August 27 and Leeds on Sunday 29 August.

Guns N Roses Present Band Members
Introduction to Guns N Roses
The band has launched six studio albums: Appetite For Destruction in 1987, Gn’r Lies in 1988, Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II in 1991, The Spaghetti Incident? (a covers album) in 1993 and, after 15 years and with only one member of the original lineup remaining, Chinese Democracy in 2008. They also released a live EP titled Live Like A Suicide in 1986. This was a collection of five songs the group had been playing since their first rehearsal, with an audience track added to make the demos sound live.
The group was shaped in early 1985 by Hollywood Rose members Axl Rose (vocals) and Izzy Stradlin (rhythm guitar) and L.A. Guns members Tracii Guns (lead guitar), Ole Beich (bass) and Rob Gardner (drums). The group made its name by combining two of the members’ names. A short time later, Beich was fired and replaced by Duff McKagan, and Guns was substituted by Slash after not showing up to rehearsal. Slash had played with McKagan in Road Crew and with Stradlin during a short stint in Hollywood Rose. On their first tour (from Sacramento, California to Duff’s home town of Seattle), Gardner quit and was substituted by Slash’s friend, Steven Adler.

Guns N' Roses: US Sturgis Rock N' Rev Festival Finale
Guns N' Roses started a heavy world tour to support the Chinese Democracy album at the end of 2009, and on August 13th the band will play its only official American date of 2010 to close the five day Rock and Rev festival at the Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota.
Rocked Guns N' Roses Europe in Early Summer 2010
In Asia and Latin America after finishing tours, Guns N' Roses headed to Europe for the first leg of a European tour from May 31st to June 14th.
The Chinese Democracy website cited above features an interview with DJ Ashba, Richard Fortus and Dizzy Reed where they say the tour is going well, and they are enjoying it.
Rock N' Rev Music Festival at the 70th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally
The Rock N' Rev festival runs from August 9th-13th, and is part of the seventieth Sturgis motorcycle rally.
Godsmack were the headliners on the opening night, to be followed by Skillet and Creed on the Tuesday.
Wednesday has Stone Temple Pilots and Wolfmother, while Thursday has 3 Doors Down and Daughtry.
At Rock N' Rev Guns N' Roses Headline Friday Night
At the Rock N' Rev sees Friday Rev Theory and Charm City Devils preceeding Alice in Chains, who resemble Guns N' Roses in that they survived inner turmoil within the band through the 1990s to emerge again as a headline act in the twenty first century.
Guns N' Roses will then close down the festival as the last of over twenty bands on the Friday.
The Rock N' Rev crowd should be in for a treat on Friday night, with Guns N' Roses band members probably to give 110% in their only official USA appearance of 2010.
Guns N' Roses Will Return to Europe Before a Big USA Tour in 2011?
Guns N' Roses will then come back to Europe for the second leg of the European Chinese Democracy tour in the autumn, making a big USA tour in 2011 very probably.
The Sturgis Rally continues over the weekend so the Guns N' Roses band members will have an chance to party at America's most famous biker festival after their gig.
Guns N' Roses will then head to the UK at the end of August for the Reading and Leeds festivals.
The Chinese Democracy European tour they begin the second leg that sees the band play arenas in the UK and across mainland Europe in the autumn.
